Python Huntress Relies on Kenda Tires & Wheels While Saving the Everglades
Kenda helps the Python Huntress get anywhere she needs to go whether its highways, back roads, swamps, or slippery boat ramps.
Working in the wilderness tests every piece of equipment she brings—including her truck and trailer. With rugged durability, reliable traction, and proven performance, Kenda gives Amy the confidence she needs to focus on her mission.

Meet Amy
Amy Siewe, known as The Python Huntress, is a professional python hunter dedicated to protecting native wildlife in the Florida Everglades. With over 600 Burmese pythons captured—including a 17’3", 110-pound giant—Amy plays a vital role in controlling one of Florida’s most destructive invasive species. Burmese pythons have devastated native populations, eliminating up to 98% of mammals in some areas and threatening the entire ecosystem.
Amy’s connection to reptiles started early. She’s been passionate about snakes since childhood. During a visit to Florida, she joined a hunt and caught a 9-foot python her first time out. That moment inspired her to leave behind a successful real estate career in Indiana and move to Florida, where she now hunts pythons full-time.
Amy’s work takes her through some of the most challenging terrain in the country—from deep swamps to dense brush and rural backroads.. “Working together with Kenda has really emphasized how important trailer safety is in what I do,” said Amy. “This partnership supports that peace of mind—so I can focus on the hunt, not the haul. Having the right setup isn’t just about performance—it’s about protecting the tools I rely on and ensuring I get to every place safely.”

Trailer Safety Tips
Towing safety is something everyone should take seriously—whether you're on the highway or navigating more unpredictable, off-road terrain, there's no room for error when hauling gear. Amy has teamed up with Kenda to share some of these important tips.
Pre-Departure Check List
Tires are your first line of defense on the road. Regular inspections are essential for identifying issues such as uneven wear, imperfections, or embedded objects that could lead to tire issues. By checking your tires before every trip—including the spare—you help ensure safe operation, and extend the life of your equipment.
Proper Load Capacity and Weight Distribution
Overloading or improperly distributing weight in your trailer can seriously affect handling, braking, and tire performance. Always stay within your trailer’s weight limits and aim to distribute at least 60% of the cargo weight toward the front of the trailer. Even, well-secured loading helps prevent sway, reduces strain on tires, and supports safer towing overall.
Drive Different when you Tow
Towing changes how your vehicle accelerates, turns, and stops. Drive more cautiously by allowing for greater stopping distance, taking wider turns, and reducing speed—especially on inclines or during poor weather. Stay alert, avoid sudden maneuvers, and know how to respond if trailer sway occurs: steer straight, avoid braking, and let the trailer stabilize.
Importance of Pre- and Post-Trip Checks
A few minutes before and after each trip can make all the difference. Pre-trip, check your tires, brakes, lights, safety chains, hitch connections, and secure your cargo. After your trip, inspect for tire wear, trailer changes. If your trailer is parked outdoors, protect your tires with covers to guard against UV damage.
